We offer the best possible solution for everyday activities as well as sporting challenges, thereby keeping natural appearance and award-winning design in mind.

 

Our prostheses are exclusively manufactured in our workshop, uninfluenced by third party production processes. This enables speedy production and delivery of the orthotic aid. Measurements for casts can be taken at hospitals, homes for the elderly and rehabilitation centres. Keeping in close contact with global market leaders enables us to offer special prosthetic elements as trial fits, including

These elements are provided free of charge for a period of several weeks, during which patients seek for the best way to improve their quality of life.  

 

We try to keep the waiting time for the training prosthesis as short as possible so that patients can start with rehabilitation as quickly as possible.

• 5 hours for BK (below knee) prostheses
• 2-3 days for AK (above knee) prostheses

Patients make their first steps and do exercises at SANITOP under the orthotist's guidance. At the end of a long and strenuous day, patients can take their new prostheses home.

 

This way, patients can quickly go back to their normal everyday lives.

The socket is made in different ways. The orthotist chooses the best method suitable for the stump conformation and the patient's lifestyle.

Change of socket technology is possible anytime.

 

Different brands of prosthetic knees and feet can be tested anytime, in order to find the best possible solution.

 

Below knee prosthesis

Patients are provided with their provisional below knee prostheses within a few hours and make their first steps and do exercises at SANITOP under the orthotist's guidance. At the end of a long and strenuous day, patients can take their new prostheses home.

 

The definitive below knee prosthesis is attached to a stable stump and made in a short time so that patients can return to everyday life as quickly as possible.

 

We also offer prostheses for the following amputation levels:

Upper limb prostheses

At SANITOP the following three categories of prostheses for amputations are available:

• Passive prostheses
• Kinematic prostheses
• Myoelectric prostheses

Orthotist Sandro Serani is certified for myoelectric prostheses.

 

Myoelectrically controlled arm prostheses are externally powered prostheses. Each muscle contraction induces a spark of electrical voltage on the skin which is used to control the electric prosthesis. The electrodes in the socket transmit these impulses and the mechanical prosthetic hand moves.
